In its advocacy to raise awareness on health care, Property Company of Friends, Inc. (Profriends) held an important brown bag session featuring information about cervical cancer, in time for the observation of International Women’s Month.

General Trias City Health Office Nurse Mary Ann Bartolome discussed the causes of cervical cancer and how one can prevent it. She also imparted information on how to determine if one has Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection. “Prevention is always better than cure.

Attendees, who were a mix of women Lancaster New City residents and Profriends employees, were glad to have attended the session: “Sobrang malaking tulong nitong usapan na ito dahil nagkakaroon tayo ng magandang kaalaman.

This discussion was led by Profriends and GalingLNC in coordination with the local government of General Trias.
